What to expect

What to Expect:

A group of people who love this sport and want to share it with others. This is a team sport so you will be coached often! There is a lot to learn at first. You will have fun, but at times you may feel frustrated—we’ve all been there and we are all still learning. Listen to your coaches and you will be better and it will get easier every time you come out.

A standard practice will be about two hours, which can include loading or unloading the boat(s). Depending on the type of practice and time in the season you may need to be prepared for distance, endurance, or both.

Interested in joining us for a paddle? Sign up on the CROCC Calendar (follow instructions for first-time paddlers) and call/text the coach listed for that practice.
If you’re an adaptive paddler, please contact our Adaptive Paddle Program Lead, Arwen Bird for more information on assessing your equipment needs and ability levels.
